Sausage & Mushroom Cornbread Stuffing
 
 
Serves: 12
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. JOHNSONVILLE┬« MILD ITALIAN SAUSAGE
  • ½ of an ONION, finely chopped
  • 4 oz. BABY BELLA or WHITE BUTTON MUSHROOMS, sliced
  • 2 GARLIC CLOVES, minced
  • 1 (14 oz.) pkg CORNBREAD STUFFING
  • 1 teaspoon DRIED THYME
  • 1 teaspoon DRIED ROSEMARY
  • SALT & PEPPER
  • 2 cups CHICKEN BROTH
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brown sausage, onion and mushrooms in a large skillet. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Drain any grease from the pan.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together cornbread stuffing and seasonings. Add sausage mixture. Pour in chicken broth a little at a time. Stir well. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place in 9x13 baking dish and cover with foil. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
  5. *You can mix this together ahead of time, cover and refrigerate until you are ready to bake.
