Cranberry Butter

November 19, 2012 By Becca@CrumbsandChaos

Spread the love

Are you ready for a holiday week?  I know I am…Thanksgiving is much loved holiday at our house.  A dedicated time to feast and hang out with family, what’s not to love?

5 on Friday week before last was all about the perfect rolls to accompany your Thanksgiving dinner.  Today’s EASY recipe is the perfect embellishment to those warm, fluffy rolls because, after all, what is the bread without a little butter?  And this version is amazingly wonderful, we really enjoyed it on freshly baked rolls, but it is also incredible slathered on toasted cinnamon bread.

I ran a B & B..One of our most requested Holiday nibbles was a Cranberry biscuit with smoked turkey. Run 3/4 cup Craisins through food processor til finely minced, almost a paste, add 2 sticks unsalted butter at room temp. Orange zest is good, but since Craisins are sweetened, skip the honey. Use a 1 1/2 inch cutter for the biscuits.

I used less butter, probably about 5 Tbsp and this still turned out great! It was great on the cranberry loaf I made, thanks for the recipe!

I have a (probably) stupid question: do you cook the fresh cranberries, or use them raw??

      You use them raw. Enjoy!
