Recipe Re-Do: Calzones

June 4, 2012 By Crumbs and Chaos

Spread the love
Oh yes.  Comfort food at it’s finest.  This is one of our family’s favorite meals and by favorite, I mean, one that’s included in my little spiral favorite recipe book that my mom gave me several years ago.  It goes right along side the likes of Cornbread, Balsamic Chicken Noodle Bowl, Basic One Bowl Brownies, Potato Salad, Breakfast Bake, Brown Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies…things I make often enough that I don’t want to look very hard to find the recipe.

We’re joining up with some of our favorite bloggers today in a Recipe Re-Do: a selection from our archives that deserves a way better picture a little more attention than it’s gotten.  These were my choice – when I serve them I know all the little plates at my table are going to be clean by the time dinner is over.  Super versatile (fill them with whatever you love) and always a crowd pleaser – don’t miss adding these to your menu plan real soon!
Stop on over and get the recipe here.
Then come back and check out what our friends are sharing…

Ooooh– I love the looks of these. Anything carb-filled and cheesy dunked in a good tomato-based sauce wins my heart every time 🙂

My 4-year old would go for these, for sure (dipping sauce is always a winner!); and to be honest, I would, too. YUM.

Calzones are my favorite. Everytime we go out for pizza, I am all over how to calzonify my favorite toppings. They’re the best little blankets for flavor!! These look so flaky and stuffed with goodness.
