Tis the season for cranberries. This is a dip that I made for the holidays that has a little something sweet and a little something spicy. You could add more or less jalapeño depending on your preferences. This would be a great addition to your New Year’s Eve get together.
Spicy Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip
1- 12oz package fresh cranberries
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
1 small jalapeno pepper, chopped
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cumin
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
2- 8oz packages cream cheese
Chop cranberries. (I used my food processor)
Add all ingredients except cream cheese. Mix them together and refrigerate for 4 hours.
When ready to serve, spread cream cheese on large plate or platter.
Pour cranberry mixture on top of cream cheese. Spread evenly.
Serve with wheat thins.
